Director

David Stewart is the founder of Ascendant Consulting, Inc.  He has 30 years’ experience in rehabilitation, with over 20 years of rehabilitation supervisory experience.  Mr. Stewart has held leadership positions in the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP) and has presented on rehabilitation-related topics in a variety of national and regional forums.

Barbara B. Puryear, RN, MS, CCM, CLCP
Life Care Planner

Ms. Puryear holds a Masters degree in Nursing.  She has extensive experience in case management and life care planning, having served as a nursing instructor as well as a staff nurse for a large insurance company.

Angela Howard, RN, BSN, CLCP, CLNC
Life Care Planner

Angela Howard is a registered nurse with over 10 years experience.  She is a Certified Life Care Planner (CLCP) and a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant (CLNC).  She has experience working with cases of severely disabled individuals through vocational rehabilitation.

Donald E. Woodall, M.A., CRC
Certified Rehabilitation Counselor 

Mr. Woodall has over 20 years of experience in vocational rehabilitation.  He has taught vocational rehabilitation at the University of Southern Mississippi, has served as a consultant to the industry, and is a certified vocational expert for the Social Security Administration.
